Miss Ana: Montessori Children's Garden
Miss Ana
I graduated with a bachelors degree in business and did corporate work for over 10 years, specializing in human resources until we relocated to Colombia. In 2018, once my daughters moved to middle school, I decided to restart working and do a shift in my career by joining the magical world of preschool. I started working at the
YMCA with infants and toddlers, and then I moved to a private school in Wisconsin, working as a teacher’s aid for 5 years.
I live in Aurora with my husband Gerardo, my two daughters Maria and Jimena, and my dog, Lucky. As a family we strive to live out values such as respect, honesty, and trust. We are originally from El Salvador, but also spent a few years living in Honduras and Colombia before moving to the U.S. in 2011. After 12 years in Wisconsin we relocated to Illinois.
I joined MCG because I love working with kids and it’s in line with my values. I really like the philosophy of how it teaches children from a very young age to believe in themselves, to feel valued, and helps them become self-sufficient and confident to achieve their dreams.
Fun facts about are that I opened the first McDonald's restaurant in El Salvador. I helped train the entire staff with pretend food! I also love to dance Salsa and Merengue, and my 2 daughters share the same first and last name.
