School Events

Reaching In - Our MCG Community

Montessori Children's Garden is a small, but strong community. We intentionally plan events for families to come together regularly. These school-wide get-togethers help our students, staff, and school community build valuable relationships.

Ice Cream Social

A great night with our current and welcoming families from the community. Together, we share a "time out" together and meet the school in a little different way.

Literacy Night

Reading opens so many worlds to us! Our families come together to have fun with many activities supporting literacy. We partner with Anderson Books for this event.

Santa's Breakfast

This special event is dear to our hearts. We share breakfast and have a special guest visitor. (Spoiler alert: It's Santa)! This event connects our families, alumni, and larger community. Proceeds benefit Ann and Robert H. Lurie Children's Hospital.

Mother's Day Breakfast

To honor and celebrate the important women in our lives, we host an annual breakfast where our students can spend quality time with their amazing mothers.

Multicultural Dinner

To celebrate and share about our backgrounds, we hold a potluck dinner together. Families share both their heritage and their best family recipes. It's a wonderful (and tasty) experience.

MCG Holiday Festival

The school community comes together to teach our children about doing something for others for the holidays. We prepare gifts for Autumn Leaves Assisted Living, Ann & Robert H. Lurie, Hesed House, and the Humane Society. This is a night where we teach our children what it feels like to do for others.
